A just-for-fun mini story about the Cardinal family, a group of domesticated birds, moves into a new neighborhood, sparking curiosity and gossip among the wild birds. Ruby Cardinal and the wild birds exchange curious glances, both puzzled by each other’s way of life. As the Cardinals discuss the dangers of flying and outdoor living, Ruby has a surprising moment of connection when she feels drawn to a juicy caterpillar in the garden, realizing they might not be so different after all.
